Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: February 2025
1. Purpose
EduLabLoom is an education platform for teachers and students. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out rules for using the Service so that it remains safe, legal, and appropriate for educational use. By using EduLabLoom, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. Permitted use
You may use the Service for teaching, learning, classroom management, creating and sharing educational content, and related administrative and collaborative purposes. Use must comply with applicable laws and with the rights of others (e.g. no infringement of copyright or privacy).
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law (including laws governing student privacy, such as FERPA, or data protection, such as GDPR).
- Harass, bully, threaten, or harm others, or use the Service to distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence or discrimination.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems (e.g. hacking, scraping beyond normal use).
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or overload our systems.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or phishing.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service in a way that is not permitted by your plan or our Terms of Service.
- Use the AI tools to generate content that is intended to cheat on exams, misrepresent work as original when it is not, or otherwise undermine academic integrity in a way that violates your institution's policies.
4. Content and student data
You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or share. Do not upload content that infringes others' rights or that contains sensitive personal data (e.g. student records) except as necessary for legitimate educational use and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We expect you to use the Service in a manner consistent with FERPA, GDPR, and your institution's policies.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts as we deem appropriate. We may also report illegal activity to authorities. We do not assume an obligation to monitor all content but may do so to protect the Service and users.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this AUP from time to time; the current version will be posted on this page. For questions or to report a violation, contact support@edulabloom.com. EduLabLoom is operated by an individual SaaS founder; we aim to respond within 24–48 hours.
